Here's an overview of the loan-application process:

STEP ONE -- Apply Now! Getting started is easy!

When you've selected a property and have a contract with the Seller or you have decided that you wish to refinance your existing home, the next step is to complete your loan application, which can be done easily through our website at “fcbanking.com/mortgage”. Or if you prefer you may contact one of our loan officers from the menu below.  To get started, select an application from the list on the left.

The application will guide you through the necessary preliminary information needed to process your request including things like rate and term of loan.

Once your initial application is received you will be contacted by a loan officer and/or one of our processors to review your intent and identify any documentation that may be required.  As part of the subsequent process we may order a credit report and an appraisal.

STEP TWO

Once all data is gathered we will submit your loan request for a decision by one of our experienced underwriters.  Once a decision is rendered we will communicate to you in both written form and with a phone call from your loan officer and/or processor.

STEP THREE

You (or in a purchase situation) your Real Estate Agent or the Seller will designate an Escrow/Title Company to handle the closing and settlement  of your loan, along with many other factors which make your loan go smoothly.

We will coordinate a mutually convenient date with the settlement agent and you'll sign the final papers at their office or at a First Commonwealth Bank location.
